STAMFORD, CT., SEPTEMBER 2, 2015: Novitex, the leading provider of innovative, cloud-based solutions in the document outsourcing industry, today announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) G. Rooney as Chief Financial Officer. Rooney brings more than 35 years’ experience in corporate finance, financial planning, accounting and risk management. He will report directly to John Visentin, Executive Chairman and CEO of Novitex.
“Bob is an industry veteran with a track record of transforming public and private equity owned organizations,” Visentin said. “Across all the leadership roles he’s taken on, Bob has consistently improved profit performance. As part of his new role, Bob will help enable Novitex’s continued growth trajectory.”
Rooney comes to Novitex from customer engagement and loyalty solutions provider Affinion Group, where he served for more than 10 years in various leadership positions, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In an earlier role as EVP/CFO at Affinion, Rooney was an architect of the company’s turnaround plan, which included revitalizing the finance department, raising public financing and improving cash flow and EBITDA.

Prior, Rooney held leadership roles at Sbarro Inc., Discovery Zone and Imagine Films Entertainment. He currently serves on several advisory boards, including Fairfield University’s Center for Faith and Public Life, St. John’s Tobin School of Business and the Diocese of Bridgeport Strategic Planning Commission. In addition, Bob is an independent trustee and Audit Committee Chair for the Metropolitan West Mutual Fund Family.
