The gapTCO tool is an intuitive, graphical user experience designed to allow simple and easy analysis of the Total Cost of Ownership of printer and MFP devices. This month’s installment compares two 29ppm HP devices with the Color LaserJet Managed MFP E47528f, which is available via HP authorized dealers, and the open channel equivalent, the LaserJet Enterprise MFP M480f, along with the 32ppm Kyocera ECOSYS M6630cidn, which is sold through authorized dealers and open distribution reseller partners.  Each vendor is featured with a transactional cost-per-page and contract-based cost-per-click pricing scenario. 

The print environment features an AMPV of 1,500 pages, under a three-year length of ownership, and leveraging average private sector pricing for the CPC hardware model and average ecommerce street pricing for the CPP hardware model.

Within the HP comparison, the CPC-based pricing model has the lowest TCO of $3,144.74 compared to the CPP-based cartridge-out model at $5,982.53.
