LONG BEACH, Calif. – Nov. 16, 2015 – Epson America, Inc., a leading provider of business imaging solutions, today announced that its WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 printer has won a 2015 CRN Tech Innovator Awards. In its annual award, CRN recognizes standout companies that have brought to market hardware, software or services that have substantially impacted the industry. In compiling the Tech Innovator list, a panel of CRN editors evaluated 200 products across 19 categories based on a number of factors, including technical advances, unique features and ability to empower solution providers to solve end-users' IT challenges. Epson’s WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 Network Multifunction Color Printer was named a tech innovator winner in the Printing & Imaging category.
“Epson pushes the boundaries of technology innovation, demonstrating its commitment to providing businesses with workgroup printing solutions that promote color printing while reducing the cost of printing and decreasing the time spent managing printer supplies,” said Larry Trevarthen, director, Business Imaging, Epson America, Inc. “We are honored to be named a tech innovator by CRN, and that we have been recognized for our efforts in streamlining and simplifying printer management in the workplace.”

The WF-R8590 also supports PCL2 and PostScript 3, includes a Universal printer driver and Web Config, and is enabled with remote printer data collection compatible with MPS software solutions, including PrintFleet, ECi FMAudit and Print Audit.
Additional WorkForce Pro WF-R8590 features include built-in connectivity options such as Ethernet, USB, wireless b/g/n3 and Wi-Fi Direct3 for easy printing from tablets and smartphones4. The printer also comes equipped with remote printing, access to Cloud, IT tools such as remote setup and custom settings for multiple printers, and support for advanced security protocols. The WF-R8590 is now available through select commercial channel partners.
“In this rapidly evolving tech marketplace, it’s critical that vendors are bringing products to the channel that help solution providers quickly deliver value to their customers,” said Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company. “The products chosen for this year’s Tech Innovator Awards are solving difficult IT problems, reducing complexity or otherwise contributing to the growth of enterprises worldwide.”
