FRANKLIN, Mass., July 27, 2016 — Actionable Intelligence and Lightwords Imaging announce a new multiclient study that will model the markets for document imaging hardware and supplies and forecast how these markets will develop through 2020. The companies are currently enrolling participants in the project, which is slated to conclude in the second half of 2016.
The 2013–2020 Document Imaging Market Forecast: An Analytical Multiclient Study will examine worldwide and regional markets for electrophotographic (laser and LED) printers and multifunction devices (MFDs) along with the toner cartridges these machines employ. The market model will quantify monochrome and color printers and MFDs in terms of unit shipments and revenue (in U.S. dollars) broken down by hardware vendor. The report will provide three years of historic data (2013–2015) along with a five-year market forecast (2016–2020) for three key hardware categories in five geographical regions. In addition, the report will forecast the markets for toner cartridges used in the machines.

Participants in the study will also receive a web-based PowerPoint presentation, which will include a client-led Q&A session. In our analysis, we will explore qualitatively the impact certain major trends are having on the office imaging markets such as the transition to business inkjet printing and changing end-user behavior. Consideration will also be given to key channel strategies used by hardware OEMs and supplies vendors.
